Balingasay River

 

A few minutes before reaching Patar, one will notice beautiful Balingasay River.   It is a very well maintained river and an important source of pride for the residents of Bolinao.  In fact, the Bolinao local government was given the Philippine Wetlands Conservation Award for protecting and conserving the mangrove forests around the river. The river was also adjudged as one of the cleanest in the Philippines.

 

There are somea acitivites in and around the river such as boat rides and if you are lucky, you will see some floating restaurants offering food while floating around on the river.
